Can't Blog

I don't know what to say. No stitching, no quilting, no fun, no nothing. Life has changed in my household, and I don't like it. I will get used to the change, but I know it will take time. I want to talk about it, but it's a little personal, and it involves my youngest daughter. She has moved out, at my request.
I feel horrible about having to do that, but it WAS necessary. I just hope she can see the path she is on is not the right one.
I need a hug.

((((HUGE HUG JUST FOR CLAUDIA)))).

I missed you today, my friend, and I just had to wander over here to see if you had written anything. I'm very glad I did. I'm sorry you're struggling right now; sometimes the thing that must be done is the hardest thing. Right now, Claudia, I really wish there was something I could do to help. You have cheered me up so much since you've been commenting to me, and you made me do the snort-laugh at the thought of spray painting myself some navy-blue shoes. I wish I could do the same for you. But I don't think that would even be possible right now. It's just not easy being a Mom sometimes, is it? Ahhh...Claudia. (((ANOTHER HUG))).

That's about all I can think of to do...

((((SATURDAY'S HUGE CLAUDIA HUG))))

Gosh, I was so glad to hear from you this morning; I was hoping you'd read your comments. I sometimes comment back to you guys in my own comments, and other times I do it on your blogs. Don't ask me how I decide which is which cause there is no rhyme or reason to it. I will say this, though, sometimes it just feels weird to leave a comment on MY OWN blog. Ya know?

Anybody else who is a Frank lover is a kindred spirit for me :). To bad he can't sing at all, huh? Oh, I just love him! You do realize why my cats' names are Frank and Nancy, don't you? I know, sick (but kinda cute, you have to admit!). And Nancy isn't for his daughter Nancy, but for first wife Nancy, with whom he remained close his whole life, and she never married anyone else. You didn't by any chance read Tina's book, did you? It's very, very good--there is a picture in the book of elderly Frank and elderly Nancy talking and sharing a tender moment; it was beautiful and grabbed my heart. Okay, I'm rambling, so moving on...

My favorite color is blue...which is kind of funny since, when I had the inside of my house painted I went with a lot of dark green and a caramel-y type color. BUT, my bedroom is the most beautiful shade of blue ever. LOVE blue. And you? What's your favorite color?

Found your blog from somewhere else - not sure where but glad I did. Don't know what you are going through but it must be horrible to have o ask our child to move out. We came VERY CLOSE this year to doing the same with our 18 year old. Instead, he enlisted in the Air Force - although I am terrified for him (he has a dangerous job) he has already changed for the better. Can't believe the kid we went o Texas to see graduate from Basic Training in September is the same kid we wanted to strangle his entire senior year.

Hang in there...

((((SUNDAY CLAUDIA HUG))))

Isn't blogging great? All you have to do is write about it a little and, VOILA, instant support. This is part of why I love blogging so much. Have a good Sunday, Claudia...

I'm so sorry. It sounds like you've been put in an awful position and had to make a very hard decision, and around the holidays would make it even harder. I hope things can work out and that she realizes some choices are better than others. It is so hard being a parent and having a perspective of life that the younger ones really need but don't realize they need. I was in a similar postion to your daughter many years ago. I was lucky and was able to work through it and now have a wonderful relationship with my parent, although you'd never have guessed it could work out back then. I wish you and her the best of luck in working it out too.
